Back around 1978, the Stones were having their "Farewell Tour"- I entered a lottery to try to get tickets. I received a postcard in the mail shortly before the concert regretting to inform me that I had not been chosen to attend. (My father was the one to retrieve the postcard from the mail box- I'm surprised I was ever even told it had come. I just remember him saying something like, "I don't know why you would want to waste your money on a bunch of bums like the Rolling Stones.")
So, I was kind of mad at Mick and the gang, for not getting picked (it was some kind of a contest that I had entered dozens of times)- their subsequent "farewell" tours became kind of a joke to me. But, today I learned that they have a mini-tour in December- 2 dates in England, 2 dates in NJ. I'm a Jersey girl- I think it's finally my time. And, now that I'm getting older, I have what Big Al calls my Reverse Bucket List- people who I want to see before they die. It's time... this might be my last chance.
