Today, on the Track

I try to walk in the morning whenever I can.  I go to a track for about half an hour.  Lately I've been a wimp because of the heat- it was 85 degrees at 8 o'clock this morning.  I was thinking of cutting it short and just going for an iced coffee instead.  Then these people showed up:
My 65 year old friend who is training for a triathlon.

This kid who ran the entire time I was there, in bare feet, and who was still running when I left.

This elderly lady, who walked for about 20 minutes, in pants and a long sleeved shirt.

There's the kid, still running.

Here's my shadow.  I think the sun was so hot it burned it onto the track. And in my heat-induced delirium I was taking pictures of it.

So, I walked for half an hour.  And then went and got my iced coffee.
