A Mother's Day Cracker Jacks Prize Story
So, this was my Cracker Jacks prize today... pretty chintzy, if you ask me. It made me think of a funny story my Mom told when we were kids about a Cracker Jacks ring she wore when she was pregnant with me, because her fingers had gotten so swollen that she couldn't wear her actual wedding ring. When she arrived at the hospital, ready to deliver me, they told her that she needed to remove her jewelry. They took her "wedding ring" from her and assured her that she didn't need to worry- it would be kept in a safe place. She laughed and said, "Oh, you don't need to do that- you can just throw it out!"
