So, the other day a subject came up that I've kind of been dreading.
Nina: We made Father's Day presents at school today.
Me: Really? [avoiding the obvious question] What did you make?
Nina: This. He'll have to read it two times.
Me: For Pop-Pop?
Nina: Yes. Because Daddy lives far away in Japan [??] and Pop-Pop is my grandpa, but he's like my Dad, too. So I made him something for Father's day.
Me: That was nice of you.
We made him breakfast in bed. Here's Nina, stirring the chocolate chip pancake batter. She's not wearing a shirt because she was being a baby bear.
And here's the conversation that was taking place when I took this picture:
Nina: How come God made people all have different voices?
Pop-pop: So that when you call someone on the phone they'll know who you are.
He's the best.
