Killing Time, Waiting For the Game

So.... tonight could be it: the Red Sox 3rd World Series Championship since 1918. And their first at home since then.

I'm not sure exactly when I became a fan. I've lived in New England for over 20 years now... I think it all started with my first visit to Fenway Park, in the early 90's. I fell in love with that ball park- kept wanting to go back. For the first 10 years or so, I sort of paid attention to how they were doing, and then, in the early 2000's, I started to really pay attention.  Now, I'm always aware of what's happening with the team- I wake up to sports radio, listen when I take a shower, when I'm making dinner at night.  I try not to miss a game, and if I do, I'm checking my MLB app to see what the score is, often.

Anyway, I love this team- from John Farrell to little ole Pedey.  They are a great bunch of guys. (I'm still on the fence a little about Lackey, but if he gets a standing O and tips his cap to the crowd tonight, all is forgiven.)

So.... I've got my lucky socks on, Al has the fire roaring. I'd love a win tonight, but tomorrow would be fine, too, since I'm really not ready for it all to be over.... LET'S GO RED SOX!!!
