And I learned something new about myself: I have excellent hearing.
The doctor* went over my test results and pretty much sang my praises. He told me the following-
That no one has hearing like me.
He's never seen the likes of it.
It's freakishly good.
It's off the charts.
I can hear extremely high frequencies and extremely low ones.
I can hear at zero decibels.
I can hear sounds that don't exist.
I can hear thoughts.
I can hear trees falling in forests, no matter where I am.
I can hear eyes rolling.
But really, turns out I have really awesome hearing!
*I like this doctor. He's from NYC and he's funny. I shared the elevator with him on the way up to my appointment, not knowing who he was. He wants me to have some tests- when I asked him if I scheduled them or does he, he answered, "I loved the time we've shared since we met in the elevator, but not enough to start planning your life for you."
I like a good wise-guy doctor.
