Today at School

We made under-the-table collages, in our pajamas.  I love my job.

I showed the kids pictures of the Sistine Chapel ceiling and told them how it took Michelangelo 4 years to complete the paintings, how he laid on his back on scaffolding, his arm so achy and tired,  paint dripping in his eyes, making it hard for him to see.  One of the boys disappeared under the table to work on the collage and emerged a few minutes later, with squinty eyes.  I asked him what was wrong and he said his eyes were hurting from pompoms falling into them.
