Underwear

So, yesterday a 5 year old girl in my class had a little accident.  She didn't have extra underwear at school, but another girl did.  She said her friend could borrow hers.  We said, "Wow, that's really nice of you! Good sharing! We'll make sure her mommy washes them and brings them back to you."

Today, the father of the girl who shared her underwear left a phone message (rant) for us.  It went something like this:

"I was told a story by my daughter last night that I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around.  I wish it wasn't true, but I have no reason to believe that she would make something like this up.  It's my understanding that you allowed another child in the class to borrow my daughter's underwear.  The thought of it is making me sick.  I do not, repeat, do not want the underwear back.  It's the most disgusting thing I've heard in a long time.  I am stunned that your staff would show such poor judgement.  I'm not trying to make a mountain out of a molehill [yes you are!!]  but I would like to know what you are going to do in the future to prevent something like this from happening. Because it's just gross.  I'm sitting at my desk in my office stunned.  It's just gross.  Thank-you."

In his defense, it is a full moon.
