Where the Wild Things Are

Me: Hey- look how blue the sky is!
Nina: Where did all the clouds go? Maybe the Sun said, "I'll eat you up!" and scared them all away.
Me: Who else says, "I'll eat you up!"
Nina: Max does.  And the Wild Things.  They say, "Oh please don't go.  We'll eat you up, we love you so!" Maybe they thought Max was a tasty lunch.
Me: Would you like to go in a boat to where the Wild Things are, like Max?
Nina: No. They're too scary.  They have sharp teeth and big feet and they are very loud.  And I never wear a wolf suit.

(Lull....)

Nina: Why is it so quiet?
Me: Because there are no cars driving by.
Nina: When there are no cars, the world is quiet.
