Because he knows that by not smiling he's going to look way cool in that picture.
Because he gave himself that haircut.
Because he yells when he talks to you, but says he can't help it because his Grandpa is deaf and he has to scream at him all the time.
Because he has a Boston accent, even though his parents don't.
(Me- Nice shades- where'd you get them?
Him- Tahget
Me- (laughing a little) Tahget?
Him- (annoyed) I don't say Tahget! I say TAHGET!!)
Because he is competitive, in a nonsensical way.
(Him- You know that book we have in our class with the fun facts in it?
Me- Yes.
Him- Well I have a book like that at my house that's even better. It has sad facts in it.)
Because, when the Fire Chief visited our school the other day and asked the kids if they had any questions, he raised his hand and said that his big brother is afraid of thunder storms, but he's not, so when there's a thunder storm he gets in bed with his big brother and snuggles with him.
Because when I do Circle Time he stealth-crawls over to me and kisses me on the knee. Then he stealth-crawls back to his mat. I pretend nothing happened.
